Three Ohio women, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight had been missing for over 10 years. Kidnapped when they were teenagers, they were believed to be dead. Fortunately there horrifying ordeal came to an end. Still in Ohio, Amanda Berry was heard screaming from a house that was only able to open enough to put a hand through. Neighbor Charles Ramsey approached the house, helped Amanda break down the door and call 911.
When the police arrived they found Berry, Knight, DeJesus and a 6 year old little girl. All three ladies and the little girl seemed to be ok. The three women are believed to have been tied up and held captive in the home that Amanda broke out of, since their disappearance.
Three suspects have been arrested. 52 year old Ariel Castro described by neighbors as a loner lived at the house, his brother 54 year old Pedro, and brother, 50 year old Onil. Both brothers lived at another location.
Amanda Berry disappeared in 2003 just one day before her 17th birthday, after phoning her sister to say that she was getting a ride home from work. In 2004, 14 year old Gina DeJesus disappeared on her way home from school. And Michelle Knight disappeared in 2002. She was 20 years old.
When Amanda was able to speak to the 911 operator, she frantically said " Hello, help me I'm Amanda Berry. I've been kidnapped, and I've been missing for 10 years. I am here. I'm free now."
