Today, the World Health Organization released a statement saying that the virus MERS-CoV, short for Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus, has now spread to Italy. Two female patients and a man that had recently returned from Jordan to Italy, have contracted the virus. There is little know about the virus other than it originated in Saudi Arabia.
Margaret Chan, the head of The World Health Organization said "Looking at the overall global situation, my greatest concern right now is the novel coronavirus." "It is "a threat to the entire world."
