Dr. Kermit Gosnell who performed late term abortions after 20 weeks is on trial for murder.
Gosnell faces eight counts of murder for the deaths of seven babies and a 41 year old Virginia woman, Karnamaya Mongar, who died of an anesthetic overdose during a second trimester abortion. 72 year old Gosnell is accused of using scissors to cut the spinal cords of fetuses who emerged from their mothers still alive.
An inspection uncovered the horrible conditions inside Gosnell's clinic. Remains of aborted fetus stored in water jugs, pet food containers and a freezer. 47 fetus were examined by the Medical Examiner, some of them frozen. Read more at www.cnn.com
