President Briefing On Failing Of Manchin - Toomey Gun Bill

Today President Obama spoke from the Rose Garden about today’s Senate vote and defeat on expanded background checks for gun sales.  The President was surrounded by Americans whose lives had been personally affected by gun violence.  

?All in all, this was a pretty shameful day for Washington, but this effort isn’t over.  I want to make it clear to the American people that we can still bring about meaningful changes that reduce gun violence, so long as you don’t give up. “
