For several years not a day has gone by in which the Kardashian klan did'nt dominate celebrity news. With their gorgeous selfies, designer clothes and overly indulgent lifestyle, the world couldn't get enough of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
Some would argue that Kim Kardashian West and her sisters are the reason that social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter are so popular. Unfortunately for the celebrity gossip blogs, after being robbed at gunpoint in her Paris apartment last September, the celebutante has been missing in action. According to Kim, she was tied up and thrown into the bathtub while robbers stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry. To make matters worse, Kimmy's superstar husband Kanye West was hospitalized for a nervous breakdown after going off on a rant while performing in Sacramento back in November. The ordeal seemed to force the socialite even further underground. No more selfies and no more paparazzi shots. Kim's absence sent the internet into a panic. OK really people, without thee Kim Kardashian what is there left to write about? Right?.... Her sisters also cut back on their tweeting and posting on instagram. The robbery scared the entire family. The girls realized that living their life so publicly proved not to be wise. Informing the world about their every move is not only stupid, it's dangerous. But to the delight of social media, Ms. Kardashian West is back. TMZ and E entertainment can breathe a sigh of relief. Kim and Kanye were photographed on their way to Blue Ivy's 5th birthday party. Daughter of superstar celebrity power couple Beyonce and Jay Z. Kanye's long time friends and business partners, though Kanye wasn't feeling to friendly towards them last November. You know that tangent that Kanye went on a couple of months ago. The two of them is much of what he was ranting about. Complaining that Beyonce only agreed to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards if her video Formation was guaranteed to win. Kanye also blasted Jay Z for not personally calling to check on he and Kim after she was robbed. Here is some of what Kanye reportedly said: "Beyoncé, I was hurt, because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me, and over “Hotline Bling.” Now, don’t go trying to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Talk to me like a man." It looks like Jay Z finally called him, because parazzai photographed Kim and Kanye on their way to Bey and Jay's. The couple were minus their kids North and Saint. Kim was dressed down by Kardashian standards. Gone was her flawlessly beat face, her perfectly curled hair and designer clothes that fit like they were sewed onto her body. Instead, she was wearing a red flannel shirt and jeans. I have to say that she was effortlessly stylish and as gorgeous as ever. It was refreshing to see her look so naturally pretty. Kanye sporting blonde hair, looked rested after being released from the hospital. Good for them.  Last week on The Tonight Show, my girl the lovely and super talented Ms. Lauryn Hill performed her version of "Feeling Good."
Lauryn's cover is a recording from RCA's tribute album to the late star. It's title "Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina." Performing with the Roots Lauryn was absolutely in her element. She for real killed it. Her performance was out of this world and her voice is just as amazing as ever. What a treat. On Sunday, July 27th, Bobbi was surrounded by family when she passed. The family released a statement that said "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months." The initial autopsy results are in and the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office noted no signs of significant injuries. In addition, the medical examiner insists that it will take "several weeks" before "all test results are completed and all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed." On Whitney Houston's facebook page, the family posted this: "It's hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers." RIP Bobbi. I think Jada should release a workout video and tell us what her diet consists of. Jada get on it. Beyonce and Jay Z are a power couple. Both self made millionaires who have worked extremely hard for the success that they have obtained. Jay Z is one lucky man, to have a smart and independent, yet supportive wife.
Beyonce is fortunate to have a husband that is larger than life, but at the same time, not afraid to step aside and let her shine. And, what can I say about their adorable daughter Blue Ivy? The above pictures speak volumes. Love them..... As part of the promotion for his tour, Kanye West has been hitting the popular Hip Hop and R&B radio stations. During his visit with Power 105.1 in New York, the arguably talented rapper talked about many things, his new baby, his fiance Kim Kardashian who he calls the modern day Marilyn Monroe, his extravagant by rap standards concerts, his decision to leave Nike to take up with Adidas, and his take on black people and the new form of slavery.
The baby of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian is a real stunner. The two superstars have finally let the world see their little bundle of joy. I must admit she is gorgeous. The couple who named her North, plan to add to their family after the two are married next summer. Congratulations.
I am so excited about the return of "Being Mary Jane." The series will premiere on January 7, 2014. The gorgeous Gabrielle Union who stars in the BET original series, really grabbed audiences when the pilot debuted last July.
The actress plays a 40 something successful single talk show host who helps provide for her gown brothers and sisters and their offspring. It centers around her daily life, her success, her dating, and the challenges within the family. I am a big fan of Gabrielle Union and have been since she was a regular on the 90s hit the "Tia and Tamara Show." My then teenage nieces watched that show regularly and I loved watching it with them. I will be tuning in on January 7th with a big tub of pop corn, a bottle of perrier and a glass of apple juice.
